Kindergarten Korner

Thank you for coming last night an evening of fun as we “Read through the Seasons”!  The teachers enjoyed the opportunity to share the fun of reading with each family.  Be sure to read with your child each and every day…it opens so many doors in your family relationships!!

RELIGION: A study of the 3rd commandment! Woman of faith-Ruth will be studied!

READING: A review of –am, -ap, and –at words!  We will also do some writing with the help of our sight words!

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming-the week of November 4th-be watching for details and the opportunity to purchase books for your child, nieces and nephews (great Christmas gifts).

MATH-Matrix puzzle time again with our fun game “what’s the missing piece”.  We will use our pennies to act out some story problems.  Review time –ordinal positions (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th).  And new concept-telling time on the hour!!!

Social Studies-Still tromping around in the wonderful country of Germany (my roots are planted there)!

SCIENCE- Fun loving creature-squirrels and chipmunks will be a focus!
Garden News: Between seasons right now-future plans include planting some bulbs for spring flowers!!     After the fall season if you have some uncarved pumpkins that you wish to dispose of-send them our way as we have an empty bed that we would like to “toss” them into-watching them rot and seeing what happens next spring…could we get new plants from those seeds in the pile???
